A Brief History . . .

The first Rotary Club was organized in 1905 in Chicago by and attorney Paul Harris.  Rotary, the oldest of service clubs, has over 1.2 million members in over 33,242 clubs in over 200 countries.

The Rotary Club of Gates-Chili was chartered August 13, 1970. The club has a long history of support for Special Boy Scout Troop 327, Camp Haccamo, and worthwhile community projects. The club supports the Rotary Foundation, which provides grants and services worldwide.

In June 2008, the Gates-Chili Rotary
Charities Foundation, Inc. was established to provide the club with the ability to provide greater service to the community.
